My Bio/Profile:
Tefi Designs is a one-woman, Dallas-based jewelry design studio specializing in gemstones, freshwater pearls, sterling silver, Czech glass, art clay, ink, paper, pottery, buttons, and fabrics.
A self-taught artist and crafter, I am driven to create items that speak to the artist in all of us. I love conceptual pieces like my Toadstool charm necklace that remind us all of simpler times.
In addition to jewelry, I make scarves and other crocheted goodness, as well as tons of fabric button goods like bobbies, ponies, necklaces, and rings.
I live and work in the vibrant Dallas community of Oak Cliff with my boyfriend Jason, my cat George, and my dog Oliver. I couldn't do what I do without the love and support of my creative mother who is a knitter, potter, artist, and community volunteer.
I founded and facilitate Etsy Dallas, the official street team dedicated to promoting Dallas' Etsy crafters. I also sit on the Board for the Oak Cliff Artisans http://www.oakcliffartisans.com/, and am a member of the development team for La Reunion www.lareuniontx.org. My goal is to promote the handmade way and be a leader in the emerging DIY movement in Dallas.

**PAYMENTS**
Tefi Designs only accepts all major credit cards via PayPal.
**SHIPPING/HANDLING**
All S/H charges depend on 2 things: weight and size. All shipments are generally sent within 3-5 days via U.S. First Class mail. Need it quicker? Please visit the "mail upgrades" section of my shop to purchase Priority and Insurance. Need something else? Contact me!
**INTERNATIONAL**
International buyers welcome! My listings include shipping to Canada and the U.K. If you are from somewhere else, please contact me before completing your purchase.
**INSURANCE**
It is your responsibility to purchase insurance for an item. This protects you from loss and damage. While I take extra special care to wrap up your items and send them in bubble mailers, Tefi Designs cannot be held responsible for breakage or loss if you do not purchase insurance. Please let me know if you would like to buy insurance and I will create a special listing for you.
**HOW LONG TIL YOU SHIP MY ITEM?**
Depending on the availability of your item and whether any custom adjustments are being made, your piece will most likely be shipped within 3-5 after payment is received. Then, First Class mail will take 1-3 days to arrive within the U.S., longer if in Canada or the U.K. PLEASE NOTE: Tefi Designs is not responsible for packages that get tied up in customs and take longer to arrive at your doorstep.
**RESIZING**
Tefi Designs will resize an item, if possible, by adding silver-plated chain. Each additional inch is $1.50. If chain cannot be added to lengthen a piece, a labor fee will be added to redo the entire piece, plus the standard $1.50 per inch charge.
**ARE YOUR PHOTOS GOOD REPRESENTATIONS?**
In a word - no. Photographs do not do justice to Tefi Designs' beautiful and unique work. However, Tefi does its absolute best to edit the photos so that they represent the true color of each piece as accurately as possible. Due to variations between monitors, colors may appear slightly different in person than on the web site.
**RETURNS**
Items must be returned within 30 days, and must be in the condition in which they were originally sent. Please contact Tefi Designs before returning a piece. Shipping and handling will not be refunded.
**REPAIRS**
Should any piece require repair due to a faulty part or an error in design, there will be no charge for the repair, and no charge for shipping and handling. Repairs that fall outside this scope can also be made for the cost of materials plus a charge of $20 per hour ($10 minimum repair fee). Repair status is determined at the discretion of Tefi Designs. Tefi Designs cannot be held responsible for pieces that are lost or broken by their owners.
*Please also note that as an artist I do not repair pieces that I did not create myself (unless you're my mom).
**HOW DO YOU PRICE YOUR ITEMS?**
Good question. I always wondered about that kind of thing, too, until I started making and selling my own jewelry. Basically, I use a pricing scale that is an industry standard. This formula includes parts, labor, and overhead. I always aim low so that you can enjoy beautiful, unique handmade pieces without breaking the bank.
**THE REALLY SMALL PRINT**
Tefi Designs' creations are made up of small parts that may pose a danger to small children and pets. Customers are advised to keep Tefi Designs' pieces and all other jewelry out of the reach of small children. Tefi Designs is intended to be worn by adults only (unless otherwise stated). Tefi Designs is not responsible should an accident occur due to negligence, wear-and-tear, or faulty parts.
