Patti Flynn Soapmaker

http://www.pattiflynn.etsy.com/

patti flynn, soapmaker is my own small company operating in the clean, green, wet tropics of far north queensland.

after many years of interest and informal study of natural skincare and alternative therapies, i began making soap as a hobby in january 2001, finding it a very soothing, yet challenging, contrast to my work as a chef.

a series of events, both global and personal, led me to the market with soap that had been made simply to satisfy my own standards for purity, mildness, luxuriousness and eco-sustainability.
the soap was immediately very favourably received and the company grew from there.

my husband and i have created a range of original and uniquely-presented handmade soaps, with a strong focus on natural ingredients, and eco-friendliness in all aspects of our business.
we use a diverse range of non-endangered botanicals, essential oils, milks, grains, honey and clays and our production methods are traditional and energy-efficient.
in addition, we use 100% post-consumer recycled paper wherever possible and we capture all our own rainwater and heat it with solar energy.

In September 07, we became pacific-australasia’s very first accredited carbon-neutral soap company.
In April 08 we became accredited with Choose Cruelty-Free LTD, whose accreditation criteria is probably the most stringent in the world today.

every step of our process is done by hand and this means our soaps have a limit on production.
our commitment is to maintaining the very best quality and we feel that keeping our production small and exclusive is vital to achieving that.
our beautiful soaps are enjoyed worldwide by a clientele who expect the very best.
